Social Media Intern
Location: Hybrid | Greater Boston, MA
Time Commitment: Approximately 10 hours per week
In Person: Two monthly team meetings in Boston Seaport, plus client shoots and events scheduled in advance
Compensation: Paid internship
What You'll Do
Create and edit short-form videos using CapCut and Instagram Edits.
Support our social media accounts, @hellocreativeceo and @bookoutofoffice, including writing captions, scheduling, publishing, and responding to comments and DMs.
Create simple, on-brand graphics using Canva.
Be comfortable appearing on camera for our agency content and occasionally for client content.
Assist with client photoshoots and events, including preparing shot lists, organizing props, and helping with setup and breakdown.
Stay on top of social media trends, content ideas, and opportunities to engage with our communities.
Keep internal and client files organized and up to date.
Monitor and respond to emails in a timely, professional manner.
Review content for spelling, formatting, visual consistency, and accuracy before publishing.
What We're Looking For
Based in Greater Boston, Massachusetts.
Hands-on experience creating social media content, whether through internships, freelance work, school projects, or personal accounts.
Comfortable editing short-form videos using CapCut and Instagram Edits.
Experience creating clean, brand-consistent graphics in Canva.
Confident behind and in front of the camera.
A strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and emerging social media trends.
Familiar with Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Dropbox.
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Proactive and resourceful, someone who notices what needs to be done and takes initiative.
A positive, solutions-focused mindset with a willingness to learn.
Comfortable asking thoughtful questions, receiving feedback, and applying it.
Able to follow creative direction while contributing ideas of your own.
Able to work independently, communicate clearly, and follow through on commitments.
Mindful of time, priorities, and delivering work efficiently without sacrificing quality.
Flexible availability for hybrid work, two monthly meetings in Boston Seaport, and client shoots scheduled in advance.
